Lauren Heath died almost instantly after an HGV had ran her over near her home in Reading.
But right before the tragic crash, she had managed to quickly thrust her beloved 1 year old daughter Millie, out of harm’s way.
Her family stated: “Our daughter was such an amazing girl and the best mummy to Millie. She was her world and we are proud that at the last time in her life, she saved her baby girl.”
Although Lauren was pronounced dead at the scene, Millie however, was rescued and escaped with only very minor injuries.
Natasha, one of Lauren’s closest friends, has set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for her funeral expenses and ultimately to help support Millie.
The day it started, it attracted more than £14,000 in donations.
Police are now investigating the collision, which happened at the junction of Basingstoke Road and Buckland Road in Reading. They are appealing for witnesses and no arrests have been made so far.
